Weather
Light to moderate snow in the morning. Moderate to strong winds from the W and SW persisted throughout the day. Patchy, localized sun came out around noon, but many neighboring areas never saw sun (Torreys was covered by clouds all day).
Snowpack
N aspect above tree line had dry dust on firm 1F crust. Higher in the alpine, the fresh drifts were 20-50cm thick, sitting on top of thicker snow. S aspect above tree line was variable, from wind exposed ice crusts, to wind drifted cream on sun crust that seemed to be bonded well. S gully had cream on crust until tree line, where the surface transitioned to a mix of heavy (sun) and dry snow in the shade. E aspect above tree line had wind drifted cream / soft slab (10-15cm) sitting on top of a fat multi layer cake of crusts and dry snow (probing - did not dig a pit)
Avalanche
It seems that the Woods Creek Pinner might have slid in the recent days but we couldn't see it very well in the conditions. There is a big exposed dirt patch in the middle of the apron, and some signs of old debris. No other avalanches were observed in our immediate area, or across the highway once the visibility improved. A cornice seems to have fallen on the NW ridge of Sniktau, at around 12k.
