Skied around Ozalenka Creek for the weekend. There was approx. 40cm of low density snow at the trailhead going in on Friday, approx. 20-25cm further up the valley. Almost no wind effect noted, fresh snow was overlying a firmer layer at treeline and above. There are extremely large cornices at ridgetop, saw evidence of 5+ large, recent cornice failures. No failures resulted in large slab avalanches, some small pockets near rocks. We skied steep alpine runs and very little movement other than surface sluffing. No cracking/whumphing noted. Some very minor pin-wheeling from rocks, most of the south faces were staying below freezing. -25 sunday morning in the shade.
