We were up on Frosty from April 17-18. In the evening of April 17, snow was very wet on all aspects, even at elevation 2000m. A group heading down the skin track said they witnessed a very large avalanche in the alpine of Frosty and were creating small wet loose slides on their way down the skin track. We saw debris from multiple avalanches in the basin between Frosty W1 and E1 (headwaters of frosty creek). There was a size 3 on the NE aspect of Frosty W1. There was a size 2 and multiple sizes 1's from the W aspect of the ridge above the basin. The morning of April 18 we awoke to a thick crust. We skied the NE face of Frosty at sunrise; first lap was icy crust, second lap was corn at around 9:30 am. It was great skiing in the alpine. It was warming rapidly, with temperatures well above freezing. We exited via Frosty creek which was horrible survival skiing. The creek is open for most of the run.
