- day started off clear and sunny and relatively calm (though strong ridgetop winds visible) - by about 13:30 a storm rolled in with moderate to strong winds resulting in significant snow transport. - temperatures remained cool throughout the day but decreased after noon

- easy compression test (CTE4) & shovel shear results down 30 - sudden planar result - hard compression test results down 50 (CTH22) - sudden planar result - Below approx. 40cm deep snowpack is consistently dense down to 250cm (observed depth). Observations not made to ground. - Crust forming on South aspect throughout the morning with some minor pinwheeling - Snowpack obs. made on N aspect, where air temp was surprisingly cold (-9 degrees)

lots of sloughing on N aspects throughout the day largest noted slide was a natural size 2 loose dry - likely a day old (i.e. occurred on Feb 29). Movement seemed to be generally confined to the upper 10-25 cm with no observed slab avalanches or signs of instability related to the Feb 22 surface hoar.
