We opted to ski Flower Couloir on the 16th. Snow was very good, deep and soft. On the approach to the fan of the couloir we observed some variable wind affected snow. Nothing discouraging in regards to the line. As it was rather sheltered and very filled in. During the boot pack, there was a rather low energy wind skin 4cm deep in the snow pack, very close to the surface. We noticed it may have potential to slide on the ascent. We opted to use a ski cut to see what the reactivity in that top wind skin was. It propagated across 2m the couloir, but taking little snow with it. However more snow then we anticipated. Skied one by one to ensure safety and avoided run outs.

Observed some spin drifts on the approach. Didn't have one spin drift during the boot pack. As we set to ski the spin drift continued bringing the remaining small amount of snow from the petals down.
