Very cold day. Surface hoar in the treeline, not so much in the alpine where the snow was wind affected. We observed cornices above the NW chute and above east slopes around 2200m

Surface hoar in the treeline, wind affected snow in the alpine. Snow was crusted toward climber’s right of NW slopes as it remained in the shade all day. Snow was more powdery in the chute which saw sun in the afternoon
