Day tour from Raven Lodge to Jutland Mountain and back. Was warm all day, snow started melting shortly after sunrise at elevations below 1400m. Snow had a very solid sun crust overlain by a 1-3cm slab of fresh snow from Saturday night. This thin slab released easily under the weight of skiers, especially on convex features. However, due to how thin the layer was, it was not a safety concern for us. It might become problematic if it is buried deeper. Saw some signs of pinwheeling and wet snow slides, but the snowpack was quite stable otherwise. The top of the Jutland-Albert Edward ridge is very wind-scoured and icy with many rocks exposed. Good turns were found descending from the ridge down to Circlet Lake.
