Skied on Sunday 30.01.22… Nice touring conditions with the exception of the wind up to Snow/Birdwood pass with the expressed goal of the traverse over to commonwealth- winds and incoming weather helped us call it at the top of the pass, better to ski out ( with occasional boot pack) vs tromp up hard pack to walk over wind blown scree… The incoming storm was present and growing through the day - any bigger amounts of snowfall will be sitting on a clear, established crust. Great day out at any rate but things are more likely than not going to get problematic with the chance of a good size recharge from the snow gods.
