Cautiously ski cut a large slope from a sparsely treed ridge.Slope immediately spider webbed, below snowboarder and slab broke off across entire bowl 350 metres wide. The avalanche ran full path stepping down throughout path , entraining all the buried layers and even ripping out facets on the ground mid path. The avalanche increased the width of the trim line by 20 metres, knocking over a swath of forest.Appears the previous weeks storm snow was not well bonded to a southerly temperature crust that was faceted near treeline.
