We were skiing along a treed rib which had a lot of wind affect and wind drifts, we decided to drop off the rib into the open trees on the NW side. The first skier did as ski cut away from a steeper roll. When he cut it remote triggers a soft slab ~50cm deep and 20-30m across - propagated further than expected along the rib and ran through the trees. No skiers were in/near the slide path. Before skiing we had observed signs of instability - woomfing and natural avalanches on any unsupported slopes (all aspects). And lots of wind scouring and wind loading on slopes north of the pass. While skinning back up the pass additional recent natural avalanches and debris were observed.
