Went for Rock n Roll chutes on Sunday. Avalanche report was surprisingly low given the amount of snow we got in Whistler, but assumed there was less up the Duffey. Getting to the cabin was fine, but through the cabin and up the drainage was a bit of a battle. Eventually managed to cross the creek and got into the valley, looked glorious! On the final approach up the west flank we heard a pretty good whoomph, and saw some small cracks. Got spooked and didn't fancy the larger objective so we turned around and took the mellow way out.
