Snowpack
1-3" of new snow out there, sitting on top of some MF crusts on slopes with a southern tilt. HS ranged from 130cms at the valley bottom (10,200) to 240cms at my dig site (10,900, N aspect). Dug to the ground and found a right-side-up snowpack, with a stout midpack of Pencil-hard snow. Even the depth hoar at the ground showed signs of strengthening, squished down to a 20cm layer of 1F-hard snow. A shovel shear revealed interfaces in the upper pack, but got no results on a compression test.
