Another day where the snow kept falling with 33cm of new. Cold and calm winds with 9F. Overcast skies and a relative humidity over 100%.
Snowpack
Low density snow fell all day and 33cm new was found in the past 24 hours. The absence of sun and wind helped keep the new snow soft. Loose snow was moving on steep slopes but was manageable. On a northwest aspect near treeline the snowpack was deep at 237cm. The mid and upper snowpack layers have great structure with soft snow over firm until 63cm from the ground. The base of the snowpack is facets and depth hoar but is buried well over a meter and a half deep. No cracking or whumphing was observed.
Avalanche
Small loose dry avalanches with little effect to travelers. No new significant avalanches.
