Snowpack
New 10cm snow was not bonding to the old snow pack. High country last storm was 1/28. intervening weather was unseasonably warm with an exceptional northerly wind event on 1/22. Pit Data; height of snow 150cm. layers from top down; 10cm new last 24hrs, then 20cm combo wind/sun crust, then remainder of pack which is well consolidated to 110cm. no obs below that. CT 2-3 down at 20cm with failure on 2mm facets under crust combo. ECT 2-3 same as previous results with a simultaneous vertical fracture of crust combo at approx. 30cm from shovel.
