Cool and windy above treeline. There were short periods of sun but the skies were cloudy for the most part.
Snowpack
The snowpack continues to trend towards a more consolidated snowpack that can drain water with thick, supportable crusts in the upper snowpack. Ski pen and boot pen were never more than 1 cm on Saturday as the snow surface was mostly frozen. Southerly slopes in the Kearney Gulch area don't have much snow. East-facing slopes from the Loveland Pass ridge only hold continuous snow for the first 500 to 700 vertical feet. Northeast-facing gullies off of Cupid Peak (Pt 13117) hold continuous snow.
