Snowpack

Collapsing noted above was through wet snow to the ground near treeline. Moderate surface freeze on east, with generally supportable travel at all elevations between 930 and 12pm. Southerlies were an hour or so ahead. By early afternoon, skis were breaking through wet snow on both aspects, especially near or below rocks and trees. However, it was not easy to coax loose wet snow movement - but if you got on slopes steeper than 40 degrees, it may be easy.
