Weather

Winds were calm to light with varying direction. Light precipitation with overcast skies. Air temps were around -5 Celcius.

Snowpack

Dug a pit on a NW slope at 11,400ft on a 9 degree incline. Upper 13cm of new snow (PPsd rimed and DF). Below the new snow was 24cm of near surface facets. A thick slab (68cm) formed below of rounded grains 1F and pencil hard. Underlying the slab is 11cm of 2mm facets and then the bottom 34 cm of the snowpack was depth hoar 2-4mm in size.
