Snowpack

The snowpack depth is generally about a meter deep on northeast-facing slopes at 10,800 feet. Several nonreactive, buried NSF/ degrading surface hoar layers are visible in the mid pack, most notably at 75 and 91 cm from the ground. Extended Column tests produced moderate to hard propagating results on top of the October depth hoar. Cold and clear conditions have faceted the top 10 to 15 cm of the snowpack
