Snowpack

Dug on northeast-facing slope. HS=145. ECTP16 on 2-4 mm FC and DH near ground. Surface snow is ~1" PP sitting on 1F layer of faceting rounds. Although we have had warm weather, northerly slopes have been in a faceting regime. Northerly near treeline cover is continuous.---East facing near treeline slopes are thin. Hs = 30cm. Basal facets are still small and the layer is very thin and not incredibly weak. Layer of concern is recently developed "mid-pack" facets. Easy shovel shear but not enough slab above for propagation.
