Current Conditions Ice Approach Slopes

I climbed Mt Fay’s W Ridge today.

The schrund crossing is still well filled in but beginning to crack and settle. It is possible to climb 5-10m above schrund on snow. Above, 80m of alpine ice lead to the col and the W ridge.

Pockets of snow on the glacier between the Perren Ledges approach and the N slopes continue to dwindle. They are well settled with quick travel even with no refreeze like this morning.
