Weather
A warm, sunny January day. At ridgeline north winds became stronger but not enough to transport snow at any elevation
Snowpack
The height of snow gets progressively deeper as you travel farther south and is very noticeable in this particular area. Closer towards the Continental Divide, near treeline snow depths range between 120-150 centimeters. No obvious signs of instabilty could be found near and below treeline, with only minimal time spent above treeline. I dug on an open, northerly aspect near treeline and could not produce significant results in Extended Column Tests. No October depth hoar was seen.
