Snowpack
The prolonged dry spell has taken its toll on the snowpack along the 145 corridor. Sunny slopes have lost significant volume and have extensive crusts. Water has made it all the way through the snowpack on some sunny slopes, though the snowpack remains wintry with mixed grains. The snowpack on shady slopes is made up of almost all faceted grains. While the snow structure is overall weak, it remains unreactive in snowpit tests.
