Skier triggered wind slab in steep, 40-45 degree N facing “protected” and gladed terrain. BTL. ~10,700’. Hard slab was roughly 8” thick but fairly confined to terrain feature. Slab entrained a TON of facets very quickly and moved on a slick bed surface which resulted in impressive momentum gain, running to the valley floor; aprox: 800’.
