We were in an area where snow was crusty but this was far away from the slide.
Avalanche
On Saturday we were skinning for the first time up to Jones Pass via Jones Pass Road and talked to two snowboarders who said that they had triggered a minor slide in an area that had higher elevation/slope than where we were. We could see it from a distance. Not sure what the aspect was (probably eastern facing?) - see photo. Hoping they reported it too, for more accurate information! Just wanted to make sure that you know about it, sorry I don't have the exact location.
