Weather

9 degrees Fahrenheit, intermittently snowing, no wind until reaching the top of the ridge then only the tops of the trees were moving, no transportation of snow.

Snowpack

4" new snow since yesterday. New snow came in heavy and wet. East and south facing aspect I noticed the storm slab cracking underneath the light blower snow we got on Sunday night, see picture. Performed a hand shear test at the top of south facing trees, only noticeable break was with about medium to hard push and broke on 100 cm down at sun crust/facet layer. Storm snow seemed to have consolidated pretty well.
