Snowpack
Overall snow seems to be adjusting well to the new load. Density changes are becoming less reactive within the new snow, and it's settling out right side up. Observed roller-balling on SW this afternoon > 40 deg, and saw some loose wet activity driving down from the pass this evening. One collapse and minor cracking along the ridge line. We were surprised by the lack of reactivity overall.
Avalanche
Observed a slide from across the valley, several miles away, W facing 11200'. Scored it HS-N-R3-D2.5-U. Also looks like a repeater in the Vader path, judging by depth of crown and how little snow remains, guessing that's the third time (or more) that the path has slid this year, so repeaters are certainly suspect, but also that's some pretty extreme terrain.
