S1 intermittant snow showers, 25F, light N breeze, obs sky 8700'

Snowpack

multi layered, but generally supportive snowpack. few woomphs today, skiing steep short supported slopes no drama, but single unsupported short steep mushroom had a small planar piece break off Q1 at ski cut. test pit at 8670'. N facing on ridge. 95 cm HS CT -failure on isolation on ground -moist facets. ECTF23 SC at 30 cm on facets above ice layer - partial planar Q1 on the ice crust top, rest irregular across the 30-38 facet layer.
