Weather

Dense clouds dropping to lower elevations with light to moderate rain increasing towards the road closure. Warm valley temps in the low 40s

Snowpack

Warm temps and rain were quickly melting all snow surfaces below treeline. Shocking how much snow has disappeared in the last few days.

Avalanche

Things are starting to fall apart in this area with avalanches observed in most paths. Mostly small Loose Wet, with some larger Wet Slabs at mid-elevation. Most notable were Wet Slab avalanches breaking to the ground on Stat Mt. Star B had a crown that looked to be 6'+ in size.
