Skies were mostly clear to the east but approaching clouds from the west.

Large avalanches near Buckeye Peak were a clear sign that the new snow overwhelmed the weak snow near the ground.

Many large to very large Persistent Slab Avalanches observed above treeline from Leadville to Fremont Pass.
