Weather

Yesterday 3/31 was cool 20 F at 2:30 pm at 12,000 ft. I believe this slide was on Thursday 3/28 as we had groups in the area on the 27th and they did not report it.

Snowpack

The slide was on a S aspect below cliffs at 11,800 ft. I think it was due to free water flowing off the cliff bands above. The forecast for 3/28 near tree line was L2 for loose wet.

Avalanche

N WS D2 R4 Above American Lake in Ashcroft South aspect 11,800. It ran into a wall of trees and a bench.
