Weather

Late afternoon, snowing S1. Generally light winds with some plumes still visible at times near ridgelines.

Snowpack

Traveling easterly and southerly facing slopes between 10,700ft and 10,900ft gave very little feedback for obvious signs of instability. At 10,800ft the HST was 70cm. Ski pen averaged about 20cm and made for some great low-angled turns. The bootpen was near the ground. The main surprise was how quiet the snowpack was. The snowpack structure was clearly unstable in many areas, but the thick slab was making it more difficult to produce avalanche results.
