Snowpack

The snow on the ground is fragile. The two inches of new snow while only 7% was different and cohesive enough to slide off the underlying surface hoar and faceted grains with one "baby" tap during a shovel tilt test. There is, however, low snow conditions and lots of surface roughness at the Cliffs and on Grand Mesa in general. The snow depth at the roadside weather plot is 18" or about 45cms.
