Weather

Clear. Light sustained winds but very strong and frequent gusts.

Snowpack

Mostly unconsolidated below treeline, but had some slab formation in more exposed areas. We had a couple of whumpfs while ascending in those spots. Above treeline was heavily wind affected. Some areas had a ~1" breakable crust and other spots were softer.

Avalanche

Several natural avalanches were observed on the east facing ridge of red buffalo pass, approx 11,600'.
