Weather
Cold temps with moderate winds from the southwest near treeline. Overcast skies with snow accumulating at approximately 1cm/hour. Strong winds could be seen above treeline as well as intense snow transport from ridgetops.
Snowpack
Average height of snowpack near treeline averaged 36" on northeast aspects. About 12" of settled snow from the past week is resting on top of 1-2mm facets. Hand hardness ranged from 1F near the bottom of the snowpack to F near the top. Despite a poor structure, no results were produced from several extended column tests.
Avalanche
No avalanches could be seen although visibility was low.
