Snowpack
Dug a pit on a NE aspect at 11,900' on a small, windloaded feature with a slope angle of +/- 35*. ECTP1 at new/old snow interface. West winds had drifted snow from the previous two storms into finger-thick slabs 10-12" in depth below ridgelines that are quite reactive. Below this, despite multiple noted potentially-weak layers, the snowpack took quite a bit of energy to produce any further failures at this particular location.
