Snowpack

Location: Dry Glutch Aspect: Eastern Elevation: 11,600 feet The open chute had 1 foot of snow on top of a weak icy layer then another foot or so of sugar to the ground. The trees the snow were noticeably heavier and more consistent snow.

Avalanche

Location: Dry Glutch Aspect: Eastern Elevation: 11,000 feet Stopped on top of a convex as we were traversing into the trees we wanted to ski and broke loose an avalanche 10 feet below me. The slide broke straight to the ground and slide at least 400Ft
