Few clouds, moderate temps, Light winds with gust to moderate from the south, no blowing snow on ridge tops, nil precip - 11,700ft, E- aspect

Touring below treeline on mainly E facing slopes conditions were shallow, varying from 8-15cm, snow was cohesion-less sitting on small facets, the higher we toured the more the layer above the facets became wind affected and more of a soft slab, also having spots with deeper snow pack up to 40cm. We were able to get multiple compression tests results that had soft slab failures on top of the depth hoar which made up most of the base layer on our tour around tree line elevations on East facing slopes.
