Weather
Increasing clouds throughout the day. Temperatures remained cold as wind were light out of the South and West. Light snow flurries were observed for a short period of time.
Snowpack
The snowpack is settling quickly as facets continue to grow on the surface and at the bottom of the snowpack. HS ranged from 10cm-60cm on slopes traveled on today; W-N-E nr and above treeline. The deepest pockets of snow were above treeline on north and east facing slopes that were recently wind-loaded. The common theme across all slopes is the continued development of facet and depth-hoar near the ground. The storm snow continues to settle into a soft-slab (4 finger) on the surface. That slab is sitting on a hefty layer of facets and depth-hoar that have really started to take form. The general snowpack is observed to be weak, but shallow.
