Heavy snow (S3) during the morning hours. Snowfall eased during the afternoon. Light NE winds. 3" additional at 1500. Storm total; 20"/1.75".
Snowpack
No signs of instability. Bond to old snow surface seems good in moderate terrain, maybe more questionable in steeper terrain. Since 4/28; 29"/2.75" HN/HNW. Several MF crusts formed within new snow during brief clear periods over the last few days.
Avalanche
Isolated D1, shallow storm slabs observed during high intensity precip in the morning. No observed bc natural activity with good visibility in the afternoon.
