Bluebird, light Northerly winds that picked up after dawn and then settled back down

Snowpack

The slope angle on Quandary is mainly less than 30 degrees. The pack has stiffened up with a couple of weak layers. Nothing went on compression but when isolated at the back and sides two layers pulled out. The top one was not clean, the one at 27cm sheared out off a smooth surface. The pit was dug at the top of the face where snow deposits on the lee of the NE ridge.
