Snowpack
BTL north aspects around 11,000 ft held 20-40 cm of snow, increasing nearing tree line. Lots of localized collapsing and cracking, and one decent whoomph in a clearing. There is a 10-20 cm thick, fist hard, faceted slab, sitting on 10-20 cm of very weak depth hoar, sometimes with a crust mixed in. Produced easy sudden collapses on the depth hoar during column tests, but not enough of a slab for full propagation during an ECT, ECTN2. Zipper crust forming at the surface on lower elevations. Southerly slopes were patchy and moist.
