Mild and overcast morning. Increasing southerly wind speeds with light snow after 12pm.

Snowpack

Travel only on southerly aspects today. Around 1cm of new snow in this area sitting on supportive melt freeze crust on those sunny aspects. Multiple layers of melt freeze crusts in upper 2/3rds of snowpack. Most concerning layer was 60 cm below the surface, ice layer with 1mm faceted grains above it.
