Snowpack

Our skintrack was being set in the trees just to the lookers right of an open slope measuring roughly 100ft wide and about twice that in slope length. half way up one of our switch backs just nicked the edge of this open slope and the 2nd climber through put in a tuff kick and with a slight woomph the hole slope released with very little sound or effort. We were just inside the safe zone and watched our 1st soft slab avalanche roll by. Crown depth measured 47cm's. with a total snowpack depth of 177cm's
