Calm to light north winds. cold temps. Overcast with periods of obscured skies.

Snowpack

Average HS in this area around 1.3 meters. Three upper snowpack weak layers, Jan 9 and 17th surface hoar layers and Jan 31st surface hoar and facets. Jan 31 layer created poor bond with 13cm of new snow that fell on Monday. Minor cracking observed on that layer below treeline though cracks only propagating a meter at most with low density new snow. Below treeline and out of wind effects, all three of these layers had little slab between them and would not propagate on ECT's.
