Weather

Overcast with lowering clouds. No precip as of 4:00 p.m. Above treeline ridgetops had moderate winds with strong gusts from the NW.

Snowpack

Snowpack: On north aspects below treeline, snow depth was between 60 and 90 cm. Most pole plants went through to the ground, but supportable on skis. Some areas at lower elevation had well developed near-surface facets, while other areas, particularly near treeline, seemed to be more settled powder without the high degree of faceting (although some facets still visible with a close look). No surface hoar except for in the flats. Skied steep terrain up to 40 degrees with no signs of instability, no sluffing.
