Weather

snowing (heavy in AM, light in PM), light wind (variable 0-10), variable directions- (n-nw-w and occ SE), obscured sky, 11,500-11,000' skiing in protected 20-27 degree slopes. N aspect -5c temps

Snowpack

significant (30 cm+) new light snow over 10 cm of settled snow (wind affected and firm at treeiine). ski pen = knee. 10,000-11,500. some womphing at treeline from monday snow layer at treeline where stiffend up (windslab), new snow very soft loose, little slab tendency, no shooting cracks. pit- HST=235 CT results are easy Q1 SP-5 and ECTN-12 (pre monday storm @188cm) and very easy Q2 SC-2 releases (on pre storm @198cm) surfaces. several ice and facet layers (Q1-SP-28) at 168 cm on several MF and facet layers.
