Weather

May is the new January. Overcast skies, mild temps, periods of S-1 to S2 snowfall, and light to moderate SW winds. 30-40 cm of new snow, 75cm HS at the snow study plot and ~200cm HS typical near TL on Nerly aspects. Evidence of light to moderate wind transport and some fresh cornice development. The Wolf Creek Summit has picked up 5.5" of accumulated precip since 5/1. The 30 year average at this site is 2.6" for the entire month of May.

Snowpack

No obvious signs of avalanche hazard on steep (35-38 deg) N-NE aspects near TL. Steeper terrain above TL may be more of a problem.
