Weather
Clear. Breezy/gusty.
Snowpack
Pretty deep. 4' in spots. Upper snow pack all recent storm snow. Very bottom snow pack seemed mostly solid feeling but I didn't really dig pits. Some sugar facets apparent at very bottom especially near rocky areas such as this. Definitely some wind loading as well.
Avalanche
1 small soft slab. 40' wide by 150' long. A roll over near rock outcrops. 45 degrees maybe? 10,000'? North facing. Below tree line. I set this off. There were no tracks. I dropped in easily, kind of cut the top a turn or two, and then I just went for it. As I pulled up on the hip near to left at the bottom. I looked back and saw it let loose. I was not caught.
