Weather

The day started of partly cloudy and had a decent freeze the night before. Sun peaked out between small squalls from about 10am on. Almost no wind at any elevation. It was still close to freezing when I left the top but was significantly warmer as I dropped down in elevation.

Snowpack

Snow was wind packed in areas and had drifted some fresh powder overnight. By the time I was descending it was just softening up.

Avalanche

NE 12,800 ft. Loose Wet point release that fanned out to the width of couloir. It ran as far as I could see, approximately 400 ft. R2-D1.5
