Snowpack

Skied up Russell Peak at Berthoud and across to No-Name peak. Saw several fairly small surface slab slides on the NE Aspect of Current Creek Bench. Each had a well defined crown 1-2' deep no more than 100' across and ran for 200-300' Quite a bit of cornice falling on S aspects especially near rocks where sun warmed it on no-name and Stanley. Afternoon snowpack on no-name was very heavy and developed a surface crust as the day went on. Did not experience any signs of collapse or cracks or other instability on SE exposures.
